Some pics, and updates

OK so nothing big but I figured its been a wile and I have some cool things to show all of you.

First my 10% key chain. I got it last week and love it. It is a huge anchor for me and really reminds me to keep going, also having the 25 lbs ring on there is a big reminder of how far I have come. The other little gold charm on there is the clapping hands for staying 16 weeks. I love my key chain!

Next about 2 weeks ago I decided I needed a change. So I cut off 22 inches of hair! I LOVE my hair short its so easy to take care of and I use a lot less shampoo now hehe.

My friend just took this pic of the kid yesterday and I just love it I had to share.

On a exercising note I'm on the last day of week 6 of the Couch to 5k program. There are 9 week total and you should be able to go from never running in your life (week1) to running 3 miles (week 9). I can say this program WORKS!! I'm just finishing week 6 and I'm running 2.25 miles. I'm not very fast (yet) I run a mile in 12 min, but I plan on keeping this up and hopefully my mile time will get faster. The main reason I'm doing this.........

I want to participate in the Tinkerbell-half-marathon next year. It just happened this year in Disneyland on the 27th. I'm hoping it will be in January again next year. Its so cool you get to run through Disneyland, Down town Disney and all the way to down town Anaheim to Angels stadium. I want to do this so bad! 13.1 miles seems so far right now but I know if I keep up my running it wont seem so out of reach.

This will be me next year :P......................

At my meeting yesterday we talked about power foods. I loved my leaders quote "Let power foods be your weapon of mass reduction" LOL got to love WW humor :).

Pushing yourself

I have never been one to push myself........Physically that is. I feel like a total exercise nut lately. Here is what my week looks like form a exercise point.

Monday - Running and  Zumba on the Wii
Tuesday - 1 hour Zumba class
Wednesday - Running
Thursday - Zumba on the Wii and Dance class that night
Friday- Running
Saturday - 1 hour Zumba class
Sunday - 1 hour soak in a  hot bath :)

Yep that my week, some days I don't get done what I want but I do get it all in sometime during the week. I love being this active. It has taken me since September to get this going but it feels good and was/is worth all the effort.

I had a big "high" the other day when I was running. It was part of the couch to 5k program. It was running for 3 min (1/4 mile), walking 90 sec's, running 5 min (1/2 mile), walking 2.5 min and repeat. It felt so good and I felt so empowered. I can do this, it not easy, and I have to push myself the whole time but I can do it.

I'm alot stronger then I thought I was! and its really nice finally knowing that.

Friday WI day

SO it was a good WI day. I lost 1.6 lbs this week, but what I really like about my WI was my meeting. We talked about the New year, and things that we want to leave in the past(old diets we tried, gilt for feeling we had a bad week. Then we talked about things for the New year. Things we have learned about our selves that we didn't (or chose to not see) about our selves. One thing I said was I'm stronger then I thought I was. 2011 was a year of ALOT of growth for me. I feel I really had some experiences were I had to figure out who I was. I also started WW and exercising, and found I really am strong. I have willpower, I can push myself, I am worth every bit of effort it takes, and I'm physically strong. I can run, I can do push ups, I can complete a hour long zumba class, and I like it all!!

So what are some things you want to leave in the past and what are some things you believe now?

I love good quotes that make you think, so here is one for the new year.

Hobbies

I have alot of hobbies......ok I have a TON of hobbies. I read alot, I have dance class, Zumba and now scraping. I joined this awesome group of lady's on WW. Every month we have a theme, and colors that we have to use to scrap a 8x8 inch card. Best part we also have to add a recipes, each one has to be by points or category (side dish, chocolate, main dish). So we do this once a month then we send them out and get others cards back. Its a awesome scrap and swap group and I'M so excited to get my first set of cards in the mail.

Now to go work on next months cards :)

Happy New Year!!

Wow I still cant believe its 2012 and I cant believe how long I have neglected this blog. Well a new year means new habits to form and time to get rid of old ones.

Now for some updating..... Yes I'm still doing Weight Watchers and I still love it. So far I have lost 21.4 lbs. The holidays have definitely helped to make the weight loss slow down. Also I have not had the best attitude. Being around all the food that only comes by this time of year, every were you go, definitely makes it hard to say no all the time. So after a wile I stopped trying, I didn't go over board but I wasn't counting my points, so I had a few weeks of maintaining and a week with a loss, and this last Fri I had a gain of 1.8. Not great but not to bad going threw Christmas and New Years.

Now that all of its over I feel really good about getting back on track. A few weeks ago I started the "Couch to 5k" running program. So today I went for a run, and later I'm going to do a Zumba workout. For Christmas my awesome Mom got me a gift card, and I was so pumped when I found the Zumba 2 workout game for the Wii for only $28.00 at target!!! It comes with the belt that you put the Wii remote in so you don't have to hold anything, and MAN do you sweat!

It is still really hard to keep a good attitude, when losing weight and honestly for me that's half the battle. I have really found that when I let a bad mood get to me I don't care what I eat till after I ate it. Then the guilt sets in, then more bad eating and the vicious cycle keeps going. Really trying to keep positive and sticking to it no matter how "hard" it feel is the only way to get over it.

Today have been a awesome day OP. I stayed within my DP and we even went out to dinner. It feels so good to be off to a good start in the new year.

Hope 2012 bring you Health, Happiness and Weight loss (if you want it). :)
