I'm so exited I had to post....... the Tinkerbell half marathon HAS A DATE!!! Jan 18-20 (its a weekend event with the half marathon on Sunday) I CANT WAIT!!!!!!
I got to run yesterday with Mick (who was a trooper) who ran 2 miles with me. He isn't sore but his feet do hurt a bit (that what happens when you don't wear the right shoes) :). Then today I ran with my running partner and best bud Star. Today we hit 2.5 miles for the first time ever. I cant believe I ran 2.5 miles. It felt so good, and best part I talked the whole way. Its amazing how natural and easy going it feels to run now.
I'm so pumped for the Tinkerbell run I feel I can easy do it. I feel so strong and so good when I run, I have really learned to love, enjoy and crave a good run. I cant wait to get our tax return cause I get to get a new pair of running shoes (Nike free-runs) I'm so excited.
O yeah these bad boys are so mine :) I might even get a lime green pair for the Tinkerbell run :)

I feel pretty O so pretty
and very girly these days. Its amazing how new cloths and getting your nails done can make you feel like a million bucks. It also helps losing so much weight to help build my self confidence so I want to look good and feel like a women. Its so important to always find time for yourself, and to be your own boost of confidence, but its just as important to surround your self with people who help boost you up as well.
I am one lucky lady, I have some amazing friends (many who have become family to me) and a small but great family who supports me like crazy. It feels so good to be so loved :).
What is something you have done for yourself today?

Some pics, and updates
OK so nothing big but I figured its been a wile and I have some cool things to show all of you.
First my 10% key chain. I got it last week and love it. It is a huge anchor for me and really reminds me to keep going, also having the 25 lbs ring on there is a big reminder of how far I have come. The other little gold charm on there is the clapping hands for staying 16 weeks. I love my key chain!
Next about 2 weeks ago I decided I needed a change. So I cut off 22 inches of hair! I LOVE my hair short its so easy to take care of and I use a lot less shampoo now hehe.

My friend just took this pic of the kid yesterday and I just love it I had to share.
On a exercising note I'm on the last day of week 6 of the Couch to 5k program. There are 9 week total and you should be able to go from never running in your life (week1) to running 3 miles (week 9). I can say this program WORKS!! I'm just finishing week 6 and I'm running 2.25 miles. I'm not very fast (yet) I run a mile in 12 min, but I plan on keeping this up and hopefully my mile time will get faster. The main reason I'm doing this.........
I want to participate in the Tinkerbell-half-marathon next year. It just happened this year in Disneyland on the 27th. I'm hoping it will be in January again next year. Its so cool you get to run through Disneyland, Down town Disney and all the way to down town Anaheim to Angels stadium. I want to do this so bad! 13.1 miles seems so far right now but I know if I keep up my running it wont seem so out of reach.
This will be me next year :P......................
At my meeting yesterday we talked about power foods. I loved my leaders quote "Let power foods be your weapon of mass reduction" LOL got to love WW humor :).
Stats:
Starting weight: 255
Current weight: 224.6
Goal weight: 150

Pushing yourself
I have never been one to push myself........Physically that is. I feel like a total exercise nut lately. Here is what my week looks like form a exercise point.
Monday - Running and Zumba on the Wii
Tuesday - 1 hour Zumba class
Wednesday - Running
Thursday - Zumba on the Wii and Dance class that night
Friday- Running
Saturday - 1 hour Zumba class
Sunday - 1 hour soak in a hot bath :)
Yep that my week, some days I don't get done what I want but I do get it all in sometime during the week. I love being this active. It has taken me since September to get this going but it feels good and was/is worth all the effort.
I had a big "high" the other day when I was running. It was part of the couch to 5k program. It was running for 3 min (1/4 mile), walking 90 sec's, running 5 min (1/2 mile), walking 2.5 min and repeat. It felt so good and I felt so empowered. I can do this, it not easy, and I have to push myself the whole time but I can do it.
I'm alot stronger then I thought I was! and its really nice finally knowing that.

Friday WI day
SO it was a good WI day. I lost 1.6 lbs this week, but what I really like about my WI was my meeting. We talked about the New year, and things that we want to leave in the past(old diets we tried, gilt for feeling we had a bad week. Then we talked about things for the New year. Things we have learned about our selves that we didn't (or chose to not see) about our selves. One thing I said was I'm stronger then I thought I was. 2011 was a year of ALOT of growth for me. I feel I really had some experiences were I had to figure out who I was. I also started WW and exercising, and found I really am strong. I have willpower, I can push myself, I am worth every bit of effort it takes, and I'm physically strong. I can run, I can do push ups, I can complete a hour long zumba class, and I like it all!!
So what are some things you want to leave in the past and what are some things you believe now?
I love good quotes that make you think, so here is one for the new year.
